Welcome to Guanshan

After saying goodbye to Daniel as he departed back to Taipei for school, Clare and I continued onwards on our journey down the East Coast. Spontaneity was abundant at this stage, as our next destination was simply decided as were queuing up for our train tickets.

This took us to the gorgeous little town next to the mountains called Guanshan.

The Hotel in Hualien and a Swedish Sulk

After our long and exciting day in Taroko Gorge, we hopped on a bus back to Hualien, the closest town and spent the night in a lovely little hotel. Needless to say, the double beds were very inviting.

After a picking up some unidentifiable alcohol, we played a few drinking games and had a giggle. With Clare (the French girl) and I sharing one double bed and Daniel (the Swede) having his own, we thought it would amuse our drunken selves to repeatedly steal his covers. This continued to the point at which he decided to sleep in the bath for two hours.

We’re such good people.
